Healthy is being CONSISTENT


Consistency is the key. With the festive season coming to an end, perhaps it time to set up a routine for the coming year. A small achievable goal is a great way to start and that can be increased through the year.

 

Eating Right
While its difficult to switch to a healthy diet immediately, perhaps having breakfast or dinner at home may be a great way to start. Cooking your own meals means that you have better control in the ingredients and condiments added to your foods. Picking wholemeal bread instead of white bread or lean chicken breast over thigh are great options to start.

 

On the Move
A little walk a day is just what you need to add to your busy routine to get started. Drop off a stop early on your way back home and take a stroll. Not only will you get a little move in your routine, it is also a great way to wind down after a long stressful day at work. If your muscles are screaming after that, always remember to apply some deep blue on your sore muscles when you reach home

 

Taking Time to Wind Down
Being consistent can only mean taking time to rest after a long day. With a busy working schedule, it is not uncommon that many of us often forget that our body and mind needs time to rest. Try diffusing essential oils such as Lavender or Balance an hour before sleep, while taking time to read a book or just meditate.
